As of today, March 22, 2026, the registration portal is active. Students who have not yet completed their registration are urged to do so immediately to avoid the steepest financial penalties.
Extended Registration Timeline & Fee Structure
The university has divided the extension into three distinct phases. The later a student registers, the higher the "late fee" component becomes.
| Registration Period | Basic Fee | Late Fee | Total Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to March 25, 2026 | ₹2,500 | Nil | ₹2,500 |
| March 26 – April 20, 2026 | ₹2,500 | ₹500 | ₹3,000 |
| April 21 – May 20, 2026 | ₹2,500 | ₹2,500 | ₹5,000 |
Important Note for Colleges
WBUHS has strictly instructed all affiliated nursing colleges to complete the verification of data for newly admitted students by May 21, 2026. This internal deadline ensures that the university can generate registration numbers in a timely manner.
Mandatory Guidelines for Registration
The university has clarified that the simple act of paying the fee does not guarantee registration. The following conditions must be met:
- Document Integrity: All uploaded documents must be authentic and in the prescribed format.
- Falsification Risk: If any data is found to be falsified or if the documents are not in order, the registration number will not be issued, and both the registration and late fees will be forfeited.
- Portal Closure: The portal will be permanently locked after the stipulated time in May, and no further requests for registration for the 2025-26 batch will be entertained.
Why University Registration is Critical
For nursing students, university registration is the official record of their enrollment in a professional course. Without a valid WBUHS registration number:
- Students will not be eligible to appear for the University Examinations.
- The years of study may not be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or the State Nursing Council.
- Future employment in government or private healthcare sectors would be legally hindered.
Technical Support and Help
Candidates are advised to use the "I Need Help" section on the official WBUHS website before proceeding with the form fill-up to avoid technical errors. Ensure that the mobile number provided is correct and that the DND (Do Not Disturb) facility is deactivated to receive critical SMS updates regarding the registration status.
