NEET UG 2025: MCC Concludes Round 1 Seat Allotment Processing, Result Expected Tomorrow

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has concluded the seat allotment processing for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 today, August 8, 2025. This is the final stage before the official results are published, marking a significant step for thousands of aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other national institutions.

According to the revised schedule, the processing of seat allotment, which began on August 7, has now ended. This process involves the system meticulously matching candidates' preferences for colleges and courses with their NEET scores and All India Ranks. The result of this process, the much-awaited provisional seat allotment list, is now set for a release on August 9, 2025.

Understanding the Revised Schedule

The MCC counselling process for Round 1 has seen a few revisions to accommodate various factors, including a recent extension for candidates with disabilities. The final and binding schedule is as follows:

  • Seat Allotment Processing: This concluded today, August 8, 2025.
  • Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: The result is scheduled to be declared on August 9, 2025.
  • Online Seat Acceptance & Reporting: Candidates who are allotted a seat will need to complete the online seat acceptance and physically report to their respective institutions from August 9 to August 18, 2025.

Candidates are advised to log in to the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, using their credentials to view the seat allotment result once it is live.

Next Steps After the Result

The period following the result is crucial. Candidates who are allotted a seat will have two primary options:

  • Option 1: Accept the Seat and Report: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat must download their provisional allotment letter and report to the designated college within the specified dates. During this physical reporting, candidates must submit their original documents for verification and pay the required fees to secure their admission.
  • Option 2: Opt for Upgradation: Candidates who accept the allotted seat but wish to be considered for a better-preferred college in Round 2 can opt for the "Upgradation" option at the time of reporting. These candidates must still complete the admission formalities at the Round 1 college.

Candidates who are not allotted a seat in this round can participate in Round 2 without a fresh registration.

Documents Required for Reporting

For a smooth admission process, candidates must prepare a comprehensive list of documents to present at the allotted college:

  • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
  • Provisional Allotment Letter (downloaded from the MCC website)
  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and pass certificates
  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs

With the result declaration just a day away, aspirants are encouraged to keep all their documents in order and stay updated on the official MCC website. The timely completion of the seat acceptance and reporting process is essential to avoid any complications.
