About
The National Testing Agency (NTA) organizes the NEET UG exam annually. The NEET UG 2025, a national-level entrance test for undergraduate medical courses, will take place for admissions to 645 medical, 318 dental, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc and AH colleges across India. This exam will be conducted in offline mode.
The NTA will soon announce the date for the NEET 2025 exam. Along with the exam date, the application form and information brochure will be released. Eligible candidates can submit their application forms before the deadline. After registration, candidates will have a chance to correct any details in their application through a correction window. Following registration, the NTA will issue the NEET city intimation slip, which allows candidates to check their assigned exam centers.
The NTA will also provide the NEET admit card to all registered candidates. This card can be downloaded using the application number and password. Only those with an admit card can take the NEET exam. The exam consists of 200 questions, but candidates need to answer only 180. The question paper will cover physics, chemistry, and biology. For each correct answer, candidates earn 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, and unanswered questions receive no marks.
After the exam, the NTA will publish the NEET result 2025. The result PDF will include personal information, qualifying marks, total marks, All India rank (AIR), category rank, and 15% All India Quota (AIQ) rank, among other details. Candidates who pass the NEET UG 2025 can participate in the counselling organized by the MCC. The MCC NEET UG counselling will take place at mcc.nic.in. Based on the NEET 2025 scores, counselling will be conducted for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), 85% state quota, deemed/central universities, private colleges, AFMS/ESIC institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER.

Application Process
The steps to fill out the NEET 2025 application form are as follows:
- Registration: Go to neet.ntaonline.in and register for NEET 2025 by entering the asked details, such as an active phone number and email ID. After entering the details, the NEET 2025 application number will be generated.
- Filling out the application form: After the successful registration, go to the NTA NEET website again and log in through the candidate login. Upon reaching the application form, enter the asked details, such as personal, academic, and others.
- Upload documents: In the third step, upload the scanned images of the photograph, signature, and other documents as per the specifications mentioned in the NEET 2025 brochure.
- Paying the NEET 2025 application fee: Pay the registration fee through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Taking printout of the confirmation page: Candidates must save a copy of the confirmation page of the NEET exam 2025.

NEET exam day instructions
Candidates must follow the given guidelines during the NEET 2025 exam:

Cut Off
Candidates need to achieve a score that meets or exceeds the NEET cutoff for 2025 to qualify for the test. This cutoff is the minimum percentile set by the MCI and outlined in the Graduate Medical Education Regulations (1997), which candidates must reach to be eligible for admission.

Counselling Process
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) manages the NEET counselling process online, which includes filling and locking choices. Registrations for NEET counselling 2025 can be completed before the deadline. The results of the seat allotment for each round of NEET counselling are announced online.
Candidates who receive seats in the NEET UG 2025 counselling must go to the assigned college for document verification within a specified timeframe, bringing the necessary NEET counselling documents. Seat allotment will depend on the All India Rank of the candidates, their chosen colleges, seat availability, and reservation policies.
The MCC NEET 2025 counselling occurs in three rounds: the first round, the second round, and the third round, followed by a stray vacancy round. Only candidates who pass NEET 2025 can apply for All India counselling. For state counselling, admissions will consider factors like domicile and residency. There are two types of NEET counselling in 2025.
